Pesto is open source. Bug reports, ideas and pull requests are welcome.

Report a bug or suggest an idea

Open an issue on GitHub. A few lines on what you expected and what happened is enough. Add your macOS version and your Pesto version, and leave out anything private: a clip can hold more than you meant to share.

Report a security problem

Please report these privately, not as a public issue. How to report a security problem.

The contributing guide covers how to build Pesto, how branches and commits are named, the pull request checklist and the security rules every change keeps.

Forks and the name

The MIT license covers the code. It does not cover the Pesto name or icon, so please don’t use them for your own build or fork without asking. Write to hello@copypesto.net if you are not sure. The name, icon and brand policy has the details.

A fork also needs its own bundle ID, update feed, signing key and signing identity. A build that keeps the official feed would offer your users Pesto in place of your app, and one that keeps the official key could install official updates over it.

Support Pesto

Pesto is free, and every feature stays free. If it saves you time, you can support its development.
